Dr. Chandrakanth Keshava Shettigar is the Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Consultant of Dr. CHANDRAKANTH NETHRALAYA. He served as a senior consultant and ophthalmic surgeon at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, the most renowned eye hospital for 12 years. He then served the people of Kozhikode as the chief consultant of Comtrust Eye hospital and later as the chairman and chief consultant of Malabar eye hospital. In the ophthalmic sector of Malabar region, he played a major role in bringing out a revolution by introducing the latest technologies for various treatments in the ophthalmic sector by introducing state-of-the-art technologies like the phaco-emulsification system for cataract removal, cutting-edge technologies like LASIK laser for the treatment of refractive errors, Retinal lasers, and FFA for treating retinal vascular disorders, Yag lasers for glaucoma and cataract treatment.
